Helping Teens Navigate Life's Challenges with Confidence, Connection, and Support
The teenage years are full of change. As teens grow toward independence, they're discovering who they are, navigating increasingly complex relationships, and facing new academic, social, and emotional pressures. While this stage of life can be exciting, it can also feel overwhelming—for teens and for the people who love them.
Whether your teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, friendships, family conflict, identity development, trauma, or a major life transition, therapy offers a place where they can slow down, make sense of what they're experiencing, and develop the skills they need to move forward with confidence.
A Place Where Teens Feel Understood
Many teens worry that therapy will be another place where they're told what to do or judged for how they're feeling.
My goal is different.
I strive to create a space where teens feel heard, respected, and accepted for who they are. Together, we'll explore the challenges they're facing with curiosity rather than judgment, helping them better understand their emotions, relationships, strengths, and values.
I believe emotions aren't problems to fix—they're messengers that help us better understand ourselves. As teens develop greater awareness of their emotions, they become more confident in making choices that reflect who they want to be.
Therapy That Meets Teens Where They Are
Every teen is different, so therapy is never one-size-fits-all.
Depending on your teen's needs, sessions may include:
Traditional talk therapy
Art therapy techniques
Sand tray therapy
Mindfulness and emotional regulation skills
Values exploration and identity development
Therapeutically Applied Tabletop Role-Playing Games (TA-TTRPGs), when appropriate
Together, we'll build practical tools while also exploring the deeper patterns and relationships that influence how your teen experiences the world.
Parents Are Still an Important Part of the Journey
As teens become more independent, they also continue to need supportive relationships at home.
While therapy provides your teen with a confidential space to explore their thoughts and feelings, I also believe lasting change happens within the relationships that matter most. When appropriate, I partner with parents to better understand their teen's emotional world, strengthen communication, and support continued growth outside of therapy.
The goal isn't to choose between supporting your teen or supporting your family—it's to strengthen both.

Parents remain an important part of the therapeutic process. Depending on your teen's age and needs, we'll schedule parent check-ins to discuss progress, strengthen communication, and identify ways to support your teen at home while respecting their confidentiality.

You don't have to wait until there's a crisis.
If your teen seems more withdrawn, anxious, irritable, overwhelmed, or disconnected than usual—or if you're noticing changes in relationships, school performance, motivation, or emotional well-being—therapy can provide a safe place to better understand what's happening and begin moving forward together.
